Collection: Becky's Kazuri

Step away from commercially manufactured beads into the world of individually hand-crafted beads from Kenya. Kazuri means “Small & Beautiful” in Swahili. Kazuri Beads are the result of the vision of Lady Susan Wood, who was moved by the desperate poverty of women in Kenya.

So, in 1975, she purchased a kiln, harvested clay from and Mt Kenya and hired two women, whom she taught to make beads.  Their success can be measured by the fact that they continue to hire new ladies, in addition to the 350 employees that are already there.

Becky Forsythe, is bringing these wonderful Fair-trade beads to Whole Bead Store.
