Lovely little clear barrel bead hanging pendants fashioned to resemble Islamic hirz prayer amulets, named "Haulare" or “Holari” for protection, in West Africa.
Circa late 1800's - early 1900's. Traded in Africa.
Each of these sturdy, elegant barrel beads has a top bail with a hole through it, rather than through the bead, making them more like small pendants.
Nicely worn with etching. Good for all sorts of designs. Very versatile beads.
15.5-16mm long. 11-13mm wide, depending on bead and if you include bail in measurement.
Let me know your preference at time of order: worn or with lines visible.
